ShopMyBook cares about the environment and the future health of the earth. As part of our commitment to "green publishing" ShopMyBook has undertaken several eco-friendly initiatives to cut down on our carbon footprint and increase our use of recycled products:
- ShopMyBook hard cover books are made of FSC certified paper and paper board.
- ShopMyBook's current paper stock that is used for the book pages is also FSC certified at approximately 30% post recycled.
- ShopMyBook's parent company, Peleman Industries has installed 2 windmills on company property. These windmills produce 2 MW per windmill saving about 2800 Tons of CO2 emissions.
- A solar panel project is also underway as another means to reduce emissions.
