In the picture - Happy Birthday UniBook!

Plantin en Moretus Birthday UniBook

On February 7th 2007 our company was baptized in the top hall of the Platin and Moretus Museum (Antwerp, Belgium). The collection of this museum doesn’t only contain libraries and archives, but also a great collection applied arts and historical pieces about book printing itself. Especially for the latter, it was a really symbolic location to launch our brand. The art of printing lays at the foundation of the museum Plantin-Moretus. In the 16th and 17th century the Plantin-Moretus printing company played a major role for European printing (Source: Stad Antwerpen, 2010, online). At the time we used the name Wwaow.com, being a worldwide association of writers. Even more than this, Wwaow.com expressed the feeling of content an author experiences when he finally receives the book he was working on for a long time.

On March 9th 2009 we changed our name to a more universal name as it is today: UniBook. We wanted to make a stronger link with our sister company Unibind, stress the uniqueness of the books and services we offer even more, and make things easier for people all over the world to find us.

In 2010 a lot of new applications were initiated on our site. Next to uploading your very own unique book (classic book) it is now also possible to really create unique books using our AgendaBook and Meeting Book wizard, CookBook wizard and PhotoBook wizard.
